As per IT Act, documents issued in Digilocker are considered at par with the original physical documents. This also means you don’t need to carry the physical hard copy of the policy document.
Please follow the steps to fetch the policy document in your Digilocker account.
Digilocker website:
- Go to https://digilocker.gov.in/ and sign into your account using Mobile / Aadhaar / Username. You can easily create an account using Mobile / Aadhaar, if you don't have an account already.
- Go to the 'Get issued document' or 'Banking and Insurance' section.
- Under 'Acko General Insurance Ltd', select the 'Car' or 'Two Wheeler' option.
- Enter your Acko policy number and mobile number registered with Acko.
- Policy pdf will be fetched and saved in your Digilocker account.
- Go to the 'Issued Documents' section to access your policy document.
Digilocker mobile app:
- Download Digilocker app and sign into your account using Mobile / Aadhaar / Username. You can easily create an account using Mobile / Aadhaar, if you don't have an account already.
- Go to the 'Banking and Insurance' section.
- Under 'Acko General Insurance Ltd', select the 'Car' or 'Two Wheeler' option.
- Enter your Acko policy number and mobile number registered with Acko.
- Policy pdf will be fetched and saved in your Digilocker account.
- Go to the 'Issued Documents' section to access your policy document.
